About the Time Travelers Passport

The Time Travelers Passport is your invitation to explore the rich history of Northwest Ohio—one stamp at a time.

As part of the nationwide America250 celebration, the program connects local stories to the larger American story, highlighting how people, places, and events here helped shape the nation over the past 250 years.

Designed to be fun, flexible, and family-friendly, the program encourages residents and visitors alike to get out, explore, and connect with the history around them. From historic buildings and museums to hidden gems and iconic landmarks, each stop offers a chance to step into the past and see our community with fresh eyes.

Participants collect stamps by visiting participating sites, creating their own journey through time. Visit 8 of the 12 locations to complete the program—or challenge yourself to visit them all and earn true Time Traveler bragging rights.

Complete your passport and you’ll be rewarded with a commemorative Time Travelers coin, available at the National Museum of the Great Lakes—a keepsake celebrating your curiosity, commitment, and role in preserving and exploring our shared history.

Whether you’re a lifelong local, a first-time visitor, or a history lover looking for a new adventure, the Time Travelers Program invites you to discover how Northwest Ohio fits into 250 years of American history—and why it still matters today.
